The image you see here is Ed Wahl, the guy who runs all our QA and testing on analyzers posing as a proud papa with the first Picarro analyzer that we manufactured and shipped out of our brand new state-of-the-art facility. This one is going to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, a new customer we are very excited about. They set all sorts of standards for how things are measured in the U.S. and what's considered acceptable in the world of measurement. As many of you know, we're growing very quickly. We had outgrown our old offices and it was time for a move. So our CEO Mike Woelk decided to think big (actually, the BOD egged him on). Our new facility in Santa Clara is four times larger than our previous building. It has lots more room for our state-of-the-art manufacturing line (yes, we make all our analyzers right here in Silicon Valley). Our talented application scienitsts (Nabil Saad, Gregor Hsiao and more to be announced) will get a much bigger application lab for their product development and application innovation efforts. The new building has huge windows and lots of light. It's actually so big that I feel compelled to jog to the bathroom to save time. And that's good. We're thinking big in the critical spaces of measuring and analyzing greenhouse gases, water supplies, and food - and we've got a new space to help us think even bigger. I've been told the Mayor of Santa Clara and a representative from the Office of Congressman Mike Honda will attend our opening ceremonies. Onwards and upwards!
