Petrochemical

Petrochemicals are chemicals originating from natural gas or petroleum. These chemicals are used for a wide variety of applications and are a significant source of anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) impact. For example, the GHG methane (CH4) is a primary component of natural gas. Natural gas is used in the production processes of petrochemicals such as ethylene, a fruit ripening agent and plastic component, as well as ammonia (NH3), used primarily in fertilizers. The GHG carbon dioxide (CO2) is a byproduct of petrochemical manufacturing and a significant source of climate change. Monitoring activities may help to identify gas sources, ensure safety, or confirm compliance.

SI2103 Gas Concentration Analyzer

The Picarro SI2103 gas concentration analyzer delivers ultra-precise and stable measurements of ammonia (NH3) with a parts-per-trillion (ppt) lower limit of detection (LOD) and negligible drift. It is the ideal solution for urban and atmospheric air quality monitoring, studies of particulate matter formation, livestock emission quantification, vehicle emission quantification, indoor air quality and other applications.
SI2103

SI2104 Gas Concentration Analyzer

The Picarro SI2104 gas concentration analyzer delivers precise, real-time monitoring of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) at a parts-per-trillion (ppt) lower limit of detection (LOD). The SI2104 can be used for multiple applications including monitoring air quality, stack emissions, and map emissions, as a proxy for volatile organic compounds from chemical and industrial facilities
SI2104

SI2108 Gas Concentration Analyzer

The Picarro SI2108 gas concentration analyzer delivers precise, real-time monitoring of hydrogen chloride (HCl) at a parts-per-trillion (ppt) sensitivity for atmospheric science, indoor and outdoor air quality, and hazard assessment applications.
SI2108

SI2205 Gas Concentration Analyzer

The Picarro SI2205 gas concentration analyzer delivers fast, precise, real-time measurements of hydrogen fluoride (HF) at parts-per-trillion (ppt) sensitivity with negligible drift for atmospheric science and air quality applications. It incorporates coated components in the critical gas pathway. This reduces the propensity of HF molecules to adhere to pathway surfaces, which improves measurement response time. The SI2205 requires virtually no consumables, thereby offering significant ease-of-use and lower cost of ownership benefits. The analyzer is rugged and easily transportable.

16-Port Distribution Manifold

The Picarro 16-Port Distribution Manifold provides unparalleled multiport sample-data collection.

A0311

AutoMate Prep Device

When a Picarro δ13C-CO2 analyzer is coupled with an Automate FX sample preparation device, the system provides δ13C measurements of the dissolved inorganic carbon in water samples or δ13C in solid carbonate samples. The AutoMate Prep Device adds phosphoric acid to the samples to liberate CO2, which flows to the Picarro for δ13C-CO2 analysis.
A0302

Combustion Module

The Combustion Module, designed for Picarro by Costech (a leader in combustion systems), combusts solid samples as small as 250mg C to release CO2 gas. The Combustion Module is connected to a Picarro isotopic analyzer via the Picarro Caddy (A2100) or the Picarro Liaison™ Universal Interface (A0301) for high-precision carbon isotope (13C) measurements from carbon dioxide.
