Measure carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and water (H2O)

Measure carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and water (H2O)

Picarro G2301 and G2401 Analyzers

Simultaneous, precise measurement of CO2, CH4, and H2O for lab, field or mobile applications. Available with or without CO capability.

  • Parts-per-billion sensitivity, precision and accuracy with exceptionally low drift
  • Field and laboratory deployable
  • Installed and operational in minutes
  • Rugged and insensitive to changes in ambient temperature
  • Compliant with international ambient atmospheric monitoring networks, including the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS)

Measurements of carbon monoxide are important in greenhouse gas monitoring, particularly in partitioning CO2 emissions. Picarro's suite of greenhouse gas instruments enable extremely precise and simultaneous measurements of CO, CO2, CH4 and water vapor at ambient levels. Both instruments report dry mol fractions of all measured species using Picarro’s unique water corrections, which have been validated by several independent labs. The analyzers can be operated in a remote, unattended monitoring station or used equally well as laboratory reference instruments.

Recent improvements in spectroscopy and optical cavity design have led to enhancements to the Picarro G2401 analyzer, now with guaranteed long-term reproducibility of high precision CO measurements.  CO is an indicator of inefficient combustion and is complementary to measurements of other important greenhouse gases, like CO2 and CH4.  CO also has a large impact on air quality, and affects the ability of the atmosphere to cleanse itself of many other polluting gases.  With guaranteed reproducibility, Picarro is pleased to comply with international atmospheric monitoring networks, including the WMO and ICOS.
