Eric is an oceanographer, with a Ph.D./M.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Rochester and a B.S. in Biotechnology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His past research focused on geochemical processes such as microbial methane oxidation and hydrothermal fluid dynamics under the earth's oceans. His wide interests ranging from the sciences to engineering allowed him to excel in research missions in the Arctic and half the world's oceans for more than a decade. Now he is using his expertise at Picarro to help its partners succeed in the energy landscape. When Eric is not working, he's spending time outdoors with his dogs, camping, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, or playing beach volleyball.
