In this follow-up to the "LESNI Catalytic Abatement Plants are Ready for the New EtO Regulations" white paper, Picarro and LESNI demonstrate that LESNI's EO Catalytic Abatement Plants (CAPs), combined with Picarro’s Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), significantly exceed the 2024 Subpart-O NESHAP ethylene oxide (EtO) destruction removal efficiency (DRE) requirements. Drawing from real-world data at U.S. commercial sterilizer sites, the paper confirms that both SWEL1 and SWEL2 compliance pathways can be comfortably achieved—with DREs reaching up to 99.99948% and average stack EtO levels below 2 ppb. It also highlights the risk of overestimated emissions from OE-FTIR systems, reinforcing the reliability of Picarro’s CEMS and providing customers with confidence in ongoing compliance and performance.
