Picarro returns to the AGU Fall Meeting with an Impressive Product Offering for the Application Needs of the Research Community

Santa Clara, CA — December 4, 2018 — Picarro Inc., a leading provider of gas concentration and stable isotope systems for for research and industrial applications, will once again be attending the annual American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting. This year’s event is scheduled from December 10-14th in Washington D.C., USA. Picarro is excited to support this year’s theme of “What Science Stands For” with new community outreach and engagement opportunities including a photographic Wall of Fame, a Community Application Board and live in-booth technology demonstrations.

Picarro invites you to visit their booth (#1428) and one of many presentations part of the scientific program:

  • Stable carbon isotope analysis of airborne particulate matter using a carbon aerosol analyzer and a cavity ring-down spectrometer

    Tuesday, 11 December 2018; 08:00 - 12:20 (Abstract Number: A21G-0048)

  • Real-Time Urban Monitoring of Ammonia in Ambient Air During the Deployment of a Cavity-Ring Down Spectroscopy Instrument in China and South Korea

    Wednesday, 12 December 2018; 13:40 - 18:00 (Abstract Number: A33I-3270)

  • Quantification of Ammonia and Greenhouse Gases in Ambient Air of a Livestock House Using a Single Near-Infrared Cavity-Ring Down Spectroscopy Instrument

    Wednesday, 12 December 2018; 13:40 - 18:00 (Abstract Number: A33G-3209)

  • High Precision Continuous and Real-Time Measurement of Oxygen Using Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy for Photosynthetic Light-Response Studies

    Thursday, 13 December 2018; 13:40 - 18:00 (Abstract Number: A43N-3300)

Also, we’re pleased to support Shaul Hurwitz from the USGS as he presents:
  • New technologies to measure temporal variations of magmatic helium and CO2 emissions at Mammoth Mountain California

    Thursday, 13 December 2018; 13:40 - 18:00 (Abstract Number: V43I-3850)

Picarro isotope and gas concentration analyzers planned for display in booth 1428 include:

The Picarro G2307 H2CO Formaldehyde Gas Concentration Analyzer which guarantees an impressive drift specification of ±1.5 parts-per-billion (ppb) over 24 hours of continuous operation, the best in its class. This device shatters previous measurement specifications with a new world-class low-detection limit of 300 parts-per-trillion (ppt). The G2307 is the leading device on the market for long-term stability, continuous, real-time measurement of formaldehyde gas requiring infrequent calibration and low maintenance.

The Picarro G4301 GasScouterTM Mobile Gas Concentration Analyzer is a new generation extra-lightweight and portable, battery-powered analyzer designed for science on the move. It enables the simultaneous measurement of CO2, CH4 and H2O concentrations over a wide dynamic range, allowing effective background, emissions, and soil flux measurements, among many potential applications.

The Picarro L2140-i Analyzer delivers high-precision measurements for advanced research into all aspects of the water cycle―water vapor, liquid water or water trapped in solids―and for demanding applications such as paleoclimatology and oceanography.

Visit the booth to see the systems in action and to chat with a team member about your research needs..
