Picarro returns to EGU General Assembly with Impressive Gas Concentration and Stable Isotope Analyzer Product Offerings on Display

Santa Clara, CA — March 26, 2018 — Picarro Inc., a leading provider of gas concentration and stable isotope analyzers and systems for industrial and science applications, will once again be attending the General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) conference and exhibit. This year’s event is scheduled from April 9 to 13 in Vienna, Austria.

Picarro is proud to be giving several oral and poster presentations at this year’s event including:

  • Quantification of atmospheric for formaldehyde by near-infrared cavity ring-down spectroscopy (Oral presentation by Chris Rella et al.)

  • Method for flux and isotopic measurements from soil chambers using cavity ring-down spectroscopy (Poster presentation by Gregor Lucic et al.)

  • Stable carbon isotope analysis of airborne particulate matter using a carbon aerosol analyzer and a cavity ring-down spectrometer (Poster presentation by David Kim-Hak et al.)

  • Development and evaluation of a spectral analysis method to eliminate organic interference with cavity ring-down measurements of water isotope ratios (Poster presentation by Zhiwei Lin et al.)

Picarro will be exhibiting in booth 28. Picarro isotope and gas concentration analyzers planned for display include:

The Picarro G2103 NH3 Gas Concentration Analyzer which delivers ultra-precise and stable measurements of ammonia gas. The analyzer also features ultra-high sensitivity with a parts-per-trillion (ppt) low-detection limit. And drift is equally impressive at ±0.5 parts-per-billion (ppb) over a full month of continuous operation. It is an ideal solution for sensitive trace and ambient ammonia research and monitoring applications, such as livestock emissions on farms and formation of particle matters from ammonia in urban areas.

The Picarro G2201-i Stable Isotope Analyzer measures δ13C in CO2 and CH4 individually or simultaneously. Now users can follow carbon as it moves from source to sink with a single instrument. The dual-purpose analyzer brings simplicity and speed to research studies. Its small size and rugged construction make it easy to transport to the field, where real-time measurements allow achievement of optimal results from time-limited field studies. Picarro also offers a wide selection of front-end peripherals to analyze δ13C from various sources/states which expands the use-case into more applications.

The Picarro G4301 GasScouterTM Mobile Gas Concentration Analyzer is a new generation extra-lightweight and portable, battery-powered analyzer designed for science on the move. It enables the simultaneously measurement of CO2, CH4 and H2O concentrations over a wide dynamic range, allowing effective background, emissions, and soil flux measurements, among many potential applications.

The Picarro L2140-i Isotope Water Analyzer enables precise measurements of δ18O (0.0250/00), δ17O (0.0250/00), δD (0.10/00) and 17O-excess (15 per meg), with minimal drift. A variety of peripherals are available that enable assembly of a complete isotopic water analysis system and measurement of samples from different sources, including liquids, vapor, and solids. This makes the analyzer ideal for research applications in hydrology, ocean science, and paleoclimatology.
