The 2000-series analyzers are built on the popular and well supported Python code-base. Python is object oriented, meaning any module can be easily re-used or customized. This provides excellent flexibility to expand an analyzer or custom-written scripts from previous experiments with any new technical development or future software Picarro software upgrades. Python is easy to understand, maintain, and upgrade and enjoys wide acceptance among programmers, resulting in a broad pool of potential coding experts to help you with your analyzer software needs.

Python includes advanced features such as automatic memory management. This and other powerful built-in tools and libraries can save time and significantly shorten the development cycle. Further, Python code can be run on every major platform in use today, such as Windows, Unix, Linux, etc. This cross platform capabitly means scripts written on or for a Picarro can be used in other environments or vice versa.
