Combustion module for simplified bulk stable carbon isotope analysis
Picarro 13C CM-CRDS System
A fully integrated bulk stable isotope analysis instrument based on Picarro's δ13C analyzer.
- High precision
- Fully automated: runs more than 100 replicates in 24 hours while unattended
- Use in the lab or field station
- Far more economical than IRMS
Unprecedented performance and ease of use for high-precision δ13C analyses in applications such as food authenticity and safety, plant biology, soil analysis, green chemistry compliance and vector control in public health.
Picarro's Combustion Module, designed by Costech (leaders in combustion systems) is connected to the analyzer via the LiaisonTM Universal Interface. The system is typically able to process samples every 10 minutes with precision better than 0.3‰. The liaison unit manages the delivery of the CO2 generated by one sample to the analyzer, the collection of the CO2 from a second sample processed by the CM and a purging routine; all in parallel. All control and data recording is managed by software on the Picarro δ13C analyzer.
