WS-CRDS Analyzer for Isotopic Water Liquid - Model L1102-i

- Simultaneous measurement of δ18O and δD
- High precision (typically δ18O < 0.1 0/00, δD <0.5 0/00)
- Minimal memory and drift
- Rugged and insensitive to changes in ambient temperature
- Large dynamic range with high linearity
- Installed and operational in minutes
The WS-CRDS Isotopic Water Liquid Analyzer provides both δ18O and δD stable isotope ratios with high precision (typically δ18O < 0.1 0/00, δD <0.5 0/00) in one fast measurement . Isotope ratios at these precision levels formerly could only be obtained by the use of large, complex, expensive instrumentation such as IRMS (isotope ratio mass spectrometry) which required extensive sample preparation and a trained instrument technician. In contrast, the L1102-i is a user-friendly, compact and rugged system.
The analyzer is equipped with a thermally controlled optical cavity that ensures minimal drift. In addition, an onboard wavelength monitor enables the absorption lines unique to H216O, H218O, and HD16O to be scanned repeatedly and precisely.
The L1102-i is ideal for applications as diverse as paleoclimate reconstructions, isotopes in precipitation, ground and surface water tracers, aquifer dynamics, bird migration mapping, analytical hydrology tests, and metabolic activity monitoring, to name just a few.

Samples from groundwater locations with multiple injections of each location. The four locations provided a range of both δ18O and δD values which demonstrates the instrument's ability to transition with minimal memory. The expansion shows the excellent precision achieved for the repeated injections, even through hours of operation.
