Note: This analyzer is current testing in the labs at Picarro and with a select group of research partners. We are regularly updating interested researchers on the status of development efforts in the Picarro Community. Please contact us if you are interested in receiving product feature and availability information for this analyzer and we'll keep you posted.
Capable of field station or lab use, the G5105 measures atmospheric level N2O concentration with unprecedented performance and incredible ease-of-use. This analyzer uses newly available room-temperature mid-IR sources and detectors coupled with Picarro's proven wavelength monitor and unique time-based Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) designs. With an effective pathlength of up to 8 km, and the increased molecular absorption in the mid-IR, the sensitivity and precision of this instrument is unmatched by traditional absorption and ICOS based systems. Further, our patented wavelength monitor makes certain that only Picarro can operate unimpeded by interfering species.
This system can be used to determine terrestrial sources and sinks of N2O which will improve predictive models and lead to a better understanding of the human contribution to global warming.
