Measures molecules of methane in the air over a wide area to quickly and precisely quantify emission levels from beyond the fenceline. Factory, landfill, farm or city - measuring methane made easy by Picarro.
The Picarro G2203 is the analyzer of choice for researchers and R&D groups measuring fugitive emissions of CH4 from landfills or other extended methane sources, using an acetylene tracer measurement for quantifiable emission rates. The system can be installed in minutes as a stationary monitor. Or when used in conjunction with the Picarro A0941 Mobile Monitoring Kit, the instrument can also be configured for operation on a vehicle. The kit includes a mobile weather station, a GPS system, an inverter, and appropriate cables for quick set up. (Customers will need to supply a monitor for real-time viewing). For mobile download of mapping data, a customer provided mobile broadband connection is required. The analyzer can be rack-mounted for stability in vehicles.
The system is controlled using intuitive GUI software tools included on the CPU of all Picarro analyzers. Using Picarro’s unique time-based Cavity Ring-DownSpectroscopy (CRDS) and with an effective pathlength of up to 20 km, the sensitivity and precision of this instrument is unmatched by traditional absorption and ICOS based systems. Further, our patented wavelength monitor makescertain that only Picarro can operate unimpeded by interfering species. In addition, Picarro analyzers use a small 35 cc volume cavity, ensuring better temperature stability, faster gas exchange, lower noise and higher sensitivity.
Note: This instrument is for research purpose and does not provide data
reduction tools that correlate the methane and acetylene data into a
quantified methane concentration map. The instrument will enable the two independent methane and acetylene concentrations to be displayed in a mapping software tool such as Google Earth. Post-processing calculations with data captured by the analyzer for quantification of methane will be user supplied.
Picarro's diagnostic software suite continuously measures and records 38 parameters for rigorous quality control and assurance of data integrity. If an analyzer is connected to the Internet, Picarro's service organization can access it remotely, practically anywhere to provide rapid support and problem resolution. Only Picarro delivers this unparalleled combination of high-precision and accuracy, ease of use and installation, and real-time mapping in a rugged, mobile-ready package. Pull precise ambient methane quantification out of thing air - only with Picarro.
